We build for the person filling in the form, not the person who asked for the report.
Tidytarget exists because field sales software kept getting designed for head office — and the people actually walking into pharmacies every day were left with whatever was left over.
Built specifically for pharmaceutical field sales — not stretched to fit it
Most CRMs are built for inbound deal pipelines and adapted, awkwardly, for a rep who plans a month of doctor visits, reports calls from a phone between appointments, and needs a manager to sign off before any of it counts. That mismatch shows up everywhere — target fields that don't fit a quota structure, approval steps bolted on as an afterthought, "customer" records that don't distinguish a doctor from a chemist from a stockist.
We built Tidytarget the other way around: starting from a tour program, a daily call report, and a target, and building the rest of the system — approvals, access control, expenses, dashboards — around what those three things actually need. That's our exact market: pharmaceutical and life-sciences companies running a field force of medical or sales representatives across defined territories, managed through area and regional managers, reporting up to a commercial or sales operations lead.
If that's not your team, we're probably not the right tool — and we'd rather tell you that now than after onboarding.
A few things we don't compromise on
Approvals shouldn't be a bottleneck
An approval step exists to catch real problems, not to make someone wait a week. If a plan sits too long, the system says so — it doesn't stay silent.
Every rep should know their number
A target nobody can see isn't a target, it's a surprise at the end of the month. Visibility is a feature, not a report someone has to remember to send.
Access rules should be boring
Who can see what should be a setting you configure once, not a habit everyone has to remember to follow correctly, form by form.
From one region's spreadsheet to a full field platform
Started as an internal tool
Built for one regional sales team drowning in WhatsApp tour diaries and a single shared target spreadsheet.
Approvals and access control, properly
Added the Submit → Approve chain and geography-based access locking after watching managers approve their own plans by accident more than once.
Opened up beyond one company
Rebuilt as Tidytarget for any pharmaceutical field team — customer approvals, expense statements, and coaching notes joined the core plan-report-target loop.
Delegation, audit trails, and territory coverage
Added delegation of authority, a full audit log, and temporary territory coverage — the features that show up once a team is running this for real, at scale.
